We're the new face of failure.

Vivienne Westwood has recently stated that "people have never looked so ugly."She believes that cheap clothes are a reason for a lack of individuality in fashion. I understand her statement, and see what the message she is trying to get across, but I disagree with this to some extent. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan off her work and admire her passion, I just believe that what we can buy in high street shops is almost as fashionable as what you can get from designers. These high street shops over the last few years have really changed the boundaries, and stepped up a notch, watching and taking from the latest fashion. No the quality is nowhere near the same, but we get what we are paying for, and in state we are in at the moment money is hard to come by. It's what we do with the clothes we buy, it's how we put our clothes together to create the perfect outfit. In my eyes, lately i have seen a load of different characters using all highstreet brands and creating outfits that frankly astound me. You can just look at all the different bloggers out there and see it awash with individuality and flare. Yet again I have nothing against designer brands, in my head i have a list of items I would buy if I had the pennies, I just believe they are not for every one and that they bring a lifestyle that people aspire towards. I believe we can do a lot with the fashion that is widely available to us, and that we don't have to be ''clones'', but it's up to us ourselves how we throw it together and make our outfit.
